New York (KETK) — Following all the hubbub and hype, Johnny Manziel will finally get a chance to prove himself with the Cleveland Browns.
The Texas A&M quarterback skipped his junior and senior seasons to try and reach even greater heights of fame and fortune. Manziel was selected 22nd overall after Cleveland traded for Philadelphia's pick.
The Tyler native played high school ball in Kerrville, Texas, and won the Heisman trophy in 2012. He also was invited to the ceremony in 2013, but lost to Florida State's Jameis Winston.
Manziel finished his collegiate career with more than 7,800 passing yards, 93 touchdowns and a long list of top ten plays.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones surprised many when he passed on Manziel with the 16th overall pick.
