(KETK) - Tyler, Tx — Thousands gathered in downtown Longview today for Day 2 of Alleyfest. The Annual festival combines art, food, music, and games for the kiddos.
This year was unique because the city teamed up with Historic Depot Days. At 10 Saturday morning, they unveiled the new, renovated train station and throughout the day they offered tours and train rides. Meanwhile downtown, attendees could shop retail booths, eat from a variety of stands and enjoy music.
Alleyfest aims to combine the best of everything Longview has to offer.
Dennis Newberry drove from Tyler to show off his baby -- his Ford Model A.
"It gives me a sense of pride that I've had ownership of something that's been treasured and passed down through time," Newberry said.
"Every year we do Alleyfest," said Shawn Hara with the City of Longview. "This year we're combining with Historic Depot Days as they celebrate the grand re-opening of the historic train depot here in Longview. So there's a lot of extra events going on in addition to everything we do here with Alleyfest."
