Deputies capture Man they say responsible for the Shooting Death of one and wounding of Another
Rusk County Deputies say 30-year-old Kevin Michael Smith shot two people killing one and injuring another.
Deputies say it all happened along FM 20-12 south of Kilgore at a home next to the Gospel Light Church around 3:30 Thursday afternoon.
Deputies say reports of the shooting first were received by Kilgore Police who got a report of gunfire in the area.
Rusk County Sheriff's Deputies arrived on scene but say they're still not sure what prompted the shooting or why Smith was there.
Names of the shooting victims have yet to be released.
Although — a description of the two wounded were released.
"White female mid-thirties transported to Tyler Mother Frances Hospital and we have a white male deceased with gunshot wounds."
Deputies say they're continuing to investigate what exactly happened and maintain they're not searching for anyone else.
