Tyler, Texas (KETK ) — On Sunday at approximately 1:25 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a fight in progress in the 1400 block of North Whitten Avenue where at least one gunshot was fired.
When officers arrived witnesses reported that two black men were involved in an argument. The argument escalated when one of the men, identified as Gregory Perry, 28, went into his home and retrieved a gun.
Perry then threatened to kill the other man and fired one round from the handgun.
Officers secured the gun as evidence.
Perry was arrested and booked into the Smith County Jail for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
