HALLSVILLE, TX — A Hallsville ISD teacher has been chosen to serve on a state committee that will review curriculum and course offerings for business and technology education.
Christina Eagan said she was happy to represent Hallsville in Austin and find a way to help students interested in technology.
“I was excited to receive the invitation to work on the TEKS for business and technology classes,” she said. “I have a heart for students and technology and believe that technology is a major pathway for our youth into fulfilling careers in today’s labor market.
“Therefore, the courses and skills we teach in our classes are paramount and the opportunity to have input into the process is thrilling.”
The Career and Technical Education Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills review committee will meet at least three times this summer and fall in Austin to review course offerings and hear recommendations for updates or revisions.
