Hemphill, Texas (KETK) — A Hemphill woman was killed Sunday morning after a vehicle crossed the center line and crashed into her vehicle.
According to Department of Public Safety Trooper David Hendry, at 9:40 a.m., authorities were dispatched to a wreck site on FM 3121 about four miles east of Hemphill in Sabine County.
When troopers arrived, they learned an SUV driven by Madelyn Neumann Flowers, 74, of Hemphill, was headed north on 3121 when it crossed over into oncoming traffic and hit a car driven by Sonia Dunn Butler, 73, of Hemphill. Butler was flown to a Shreveport hospital with serious injuries and was later pronounced dead at 3:17 p.m.
