Lufkin, Texas (KETK) — Lufkin police arrested a man early Tuesday morning after he was found shadow boxing in the street while allegedly high on PCP.
According to Sergeant David Casper, at around 1:30 a.m., police were dispatched to the 400 block of South Third Street. A caller had stated her boyfriend was smoking "wet" and she was afraid he was going to get hit by a vehicle in the road.
When officers arrived at the scene, they talked with Erik L. Jones, 36, who showed signs of intoxication, police said. He allegedly had slurred speech, red glassy eyes and was unable to speak in complete sentences.
Authorities attempted to perform a field sobriety test on the suspect, but he was unable to complete it. Officers arrested Johnson and booked him into jail on one count of public intoxication.
