During the overnight hours of Tuesday May 18-Wednesday May 19, 2010, three separate robberies occurred in which the suspects appeared to be the same in each one.
The first robbery occurred at around 11:34 p.m. in the 600 block of Ridgelea Avenue. The two victims were in the front yard of a residence when three suspects approached and struck one of the victims in the head with a handgun. The suspects then took a wallet, cell phone and cash at gunpoint and fled the location on foot. One of the victims was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
The second robbery occurred around 12:20 a.m. in the 1100 block of North 8th Street. The three victims were standing in the driveway of a residence when three suspects approached, produced handguns and demanded their money. As
the victims complied, one of the suspects struck one of the victims in the head with a handgun. The victims then fled and the suspects began shooting at them. Two of the victims went into the residence, but one victim fled in his vehicle and was struck by a bullet in his arm. This victim was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
The third robbery occurred around 3:22 a.m. in the 600 block of West Avalon Avenue. The victim told officers he was walking home from work when four men approached him. One of the suspects produced a handgun and demanded the victim’s money. The suspect then struck the victim in the head with the handgun, knocking him down. The victim was able to get up and run from the suspects, but as he did, the suspect shot at him. The victim was not injured during the robbery. The suspects took his cash and cell phone.
In each of the robberies, the suspects were described by the victims in a very similar manner. They are described as:
1) Black male, 18-22 years old, red short sleeved shirt, thin build, 5’11”-6’00” tall
with long black hair.
2) Black male, 18-22 years old, red short sleeved shirt, thin build, 5’11”-6’00” tall,
possibly wearing a red bandana.
3) Black male, 18-22 years old, black cap, 6’02” tall, large build, wearing a hoodie
with a gold or bronze color circle design across the front.
