Man beaten with pipe, 1 arrested

At approximately 5:31pm, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of E. Oakwood concerning an aggravated assault. Officers arrived and contacted the victim and several witnesses. The victim had several injuries he claimed occurred when he was beaten with a pipe by the suspect. The 52-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

Officers located the suspect in the area and detained him. The suspect was interviewed by an investigator and the investigation will continue.
