This weekend will be full of special ceremonies in the Tyler-Longview area commemorating Memorial Day.
In Tyler a ceremony will be held at the Memorial Park Cemetery at 11 a.m.. It will include a fallen warriors procession, the playing of the anthem and State Representative Leo Berman will speak.
A separate ceremony will be held at the Rose Lawn Memorial Park. Mayor Barbara Bass will speak at the event starting at 1p.m. Monday.
The American Legion will be hosting a flag retirement ceremony, performed by sea cadets at 2 p.m. Monday.
U.S. Representative Louie Gohmert and State Representative Tommy Merritt will speak at a veterans service on the Gregg County Courthouse lawn at 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m Monday.
A Party of the Pines patriotic bike rally will take place in Longview Sunday at 2 p.m..
A Kilgore memorial day service will be held at the Harris Street Park at 9 a.m. Monday.
