I have said it time and time before, the scariest sentence in the English language is "we're from the federal government and we're here to help.
During the past two years I have seen where this old joke has become a reality.
Right now the Rasmussen poll is the best poll there is for politics.
The reason: He nailed the election of 2008.
Next time it maybe another polling service, but Rasmussen just completed a poll that says 48% of Americans think government today is a threat to individual rights.
That is so sad.
You have Barney Frank crowing that America cannot be regulated enough.
And this D.C. attitude is starting to reverberate with people.
Most Republicans (74%) and unaffiliateds (51%) consider the government to be a threat to individual rights. Most Democrats (64%) regard the government as a protector of rights.
Additionally, most Americans (52%) say it is more important for the government to protect individual rights than to promote economic growth.
Just 31% say promoting economic growth is more important.
But again a sizable number (17%) of Adults aren't sure which is more important.
This whole country was founded on freedom and individual rights.
But now professional politicians have found a great way to make a living and have discovered a great lifestyle ruling us from Washington dc.
