Some Texas drivers want the things banned. Several states already said "no" to red light cameras.
A handful of East Texas communities have them: Red Light Cameras. Larger cities like Houston and Dallas rake-in millions of dollars when red-light runners are caught.
But communities like Longview remain "in the hole" paying for them. Law enforcement stress it's not about the money; it's about making driving safer.
