TYLER - This weekend marks the second annual Energy Star sales tax holiday.
It's a state-wide event designed to help Texans buy energy-efficient appliances that will help lower utility bills.
Starting Saturday through Monday there will be no state or local sales taxes on energy-efficient appliances and other household equipment.
All you have to look for is the Energy Star label.
This includes washers, dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, ceiling fans, light bulbs, even programmable thermostats.
Shoppers can really save some cash, "Up to 150-200 dollars on high end stuff..." Brian Tedford says.
