It's not often a brothel enters into a partnership with a government agency, but it's happening right now in Lyon County, Nevada.
The Moonlight Bunny Ranch has sponsored a stretch of Highway 50, and it's pledging to "keep it clean."
Bunny Ranch owner Dennis Hoff spent more than $5,000 for the signs and work crews to clean up a half mile of highway on each side of his brothel.
Even though he was happy to come up with the cash, the Nevada Department of Transportation was a little hesitant to accept it.
"It was widely discussed internally," said NDOT Spokesman Scott McGruder. "We had some reservations, but in the end, we finally decided that the positives outweighed the negatives."
Hoff is no stranger to publicity, and if this is just a publicity stunt, he says the end result should be worth it.
"We spent a lot of money to do it, if that's the case, you know we're proud of Lyon County. We just want everything to be nice," he said.
