AS REPORTED IN THE NACOGDOCHES DAILY SENTINEL:
Nacogdoches County commissioners made a few changes to the proposed budget Wednesday morning in preparation for a public hearing later this month.
The biggest change department heads will see on their individual budgets is the lack of a line item for postage, Commissioner Jim Elder said.
Discussions will soon be under way with each department head to determine if a centralized, metered postage system would save the county money, he said.
