TYLER - Wednesday, Tyler City Council voted in favor for a $4.6 million dollar new infrastructure project that will begin within the next month. The money is from the city's utilities water fund, set up in revenue bonds that were issued back in 2008, so the construction will not increase property taxes. The 24 inch new water line will stretch 8 miles from Loop 323 and HWY 69 in Tyler to Interstate 20. Plans for it's completion are a year from now. City officials hope the new infrastructure will bring for profit businesses to Tyler creating jobs and new revenue.
