Wood County Sheriff's officials identify Holly Lake stabbing victim

HOLLY LAKE RANCH - Wood County Sheriff's officials identify a man stabbed at Holly Lake Ranch Thursday night. Officials say the stabbing victim is 55-year-old Cecil Fulfer, Jr. His body has been sent off for autopsy, but the sheriff  says he died of a single knife wound to the chest.

No suspects have been identified, and deputies are still interviewing neighbors and possible witnesses.

On 09/22/2010 at approximately 10:37pm., Wood County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from the Hawkins area concerning a possible stabbing. The victim, a white male, was later pronounced deceased on scene by Justice of the Peace, Alice Tomerlin. No further information on the victim can be released at this time, pending notification of family members.

Wood County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division is currently processing the scene and collecting evidence.

As part of the ongoing investigation, they are also currently interviewing potential witnesses. Further information will be released at a later time, once it becomes available.
