NEW ORLEANS (AP) - President Barack Obama has gotten behind a
plan to use some of the money from anticipated water pollution
fines from the Gulf oil spill as a restoration fund.
Navy Secretary Ray Mabus, the government's point person on Gulf coast restoration,
says it would be up to Congress to determine how much of fines to
set aside for the overall restoration.
