TYLER - an admission of guilt was made today from the man accused of murdering James Brandon Lee. Joshua Barnes pleaded guilty Wednesday in court. After 9 months, Barnes accepted a plea deal sentencing him to 45 years in prison.
The trial lasting just over two hours was wrought with emotion from the family of James Brandon Lee.
The 22-year-old was at a party in a deputies home when he got into a fight with Barnes that's when the Iraq war vet stabbed him with a knife. Barnes attorney says the sentence is the best outcome for Barnes.
