Man robs Houston bank after he cut in front of patrons waiting in line to see a teller
Houston---The Houston Chronicle is reporting Authorities are asking the public to help them identify a man robbed a bank after he cut in front of patrons waiting in line to see a teller Wednesday in northeast Houston.
The robbery occurred at a Chase Bank inside a Fiesta grocery store at 9419 Mesa near Tidwell Road about 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, officials said.
Authorities said the man, dubbed the "Rude Robber" by the FBI because of his behavior, walked into the bank, moved in front of several customers and approached a teller at the counter.
He handed her note which stated he demanded money and then threatened her, reaching into his waist band as if he had a weapon there.
The teller handed him some money. Then the man left.
No injuries were reported and no weapon was displayed.
The bank surveillance camera recorded the man's image.
The man is described as about 5-7 and in his early 40s. He is muscular and clean-shaven. He wore a red-and-white striped polo shirt, jeans and a light blue North Carolina Tar Heels baseball cap.
