There are probably a lot of old retreads like me who grew up in the performance
car era and think that with high gas prices, all that fast fun is over. Well, let me introduce the Subaru Impareza.
Actually, this is the WRX version of the little Impreza hatchback, and it is
absolutely nuts. Let's start with the basic 265-horsepower, turbocharged
version of the 2.5-liter, flat four-cylinder engine. Let me repeat...out of four cylinders. That will
take this little rice-rocket to 60 miles per hour in 5 seconds.
