Former development district to give assests to Cherokee County

Deal scheduled to take place at this morning's commissioner's court meeting

Rusk---The Jacksonville Daily Progress is reporting that off again, on again, off again Cherokee County Development Council, will give it's assets to Cherokee County.

Ted Wheeler, president of the now-dissolved Development District, is set to give all assets to the county.

The Deal is supposed to take place this morning at the regular meeting of Cherokee County Commissioners.

 The development district was formed more than three years ago, lost its leadership, was reformed, but dissolved when it was discovered appointments to its board were either unwilling to serve or unqualified.
