TYLER - Early Tuesday morning, Tyler Police responded to the Pitt-Stop Exxon at 900 W. Front St. in reference to a burglary alarm. They found a man leaving the area of the gas station carrying electronics equipment.
When officers tried to call out to the man, he immediately started to run. After a short chase and search of a neighborhood, officers found him in a house near the intersection of Hendon St. and S. Glenwood Blvd.
Police identified the man as 51-year-old Cedric Stewart. They found all the stolen electronics equipment in his possession, and arrested him for burglary of a building.
