New ambulance would replace one destroyed by fire.
Jacksonville---The Daily Progress is reporting; Jacksonville's City Council approved a request to apply for a grant to replace an ambulance destroyed by fire last month.
Their vote was unanimous.
While taking a patient from Jacksonville to Tyler October 23rd, the ambulance caught fire and was destroyed.
According to Fire Chief Paul White, the grants approval is almost a certainty and money would come from a State Health Services Emergency fund.
