Smith County wreck kills one

SMITH COUNTY - Various East Texas crews are still on the scene of a major wreck in Smith County that killed one person.

It happened off of Interstate 20 and Highway 155 in Smith County.

Officials with the Department of Public Safety tell us three vehicles were involved including a silver Mustang and an 18-wheeler.

Officials say one person was killed and one remains in the hospital in critical condition.

They say they were in the Mustang with a small child.

Officials tell us the child was not injured.
