Brookshire Grocery and Kraft Foods are "huddling" together to fight hunger in a football-themed program that aims to give 70,000 meals to feed America. This will be on behalf of the East Texas Food Bank.
The "Huddle to Fight Hunger" program is the largest in the Kraft Foods company and is designed to achieve a 20 million meals or more to Feeding America. Today at 11:00 a.m., Brookshire Grocery and Kraft Foods will present the East Texas Food Bank with a $10,000 check.
The "Huddle to Fight Hunger" program focuses on three things: football, food and helping others. To achieve these goals, Kraft Foods has "huddled-up" with celebrities like former NFL quarterback Joe Montana and sports journalist Erin Andrews.
The campaign will end in San Francisco on January 9th, 2011 with the first-ever Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl featuring college football teams from the Western Athletic Conference and the PAC-10.
