KILLEEN, Texas (AP) - The Killeen associate press reported that a father whose soldier son was killed in a shooting near Fort Hood says he wants answers.
Jed Naisbitt Sr. of Ogden, Utah, says military officials told him that his 30-year-old son was shot in the head after pulling over when another driver apparently signaled to him early Saturday near the Texas Army post.
Naisbitt told the Salt Lake Tribune that Pfc. Jed "Cole" Paul Naisbitt returned a year ago from his deployment to Iraq, where he had been a medic.
A justice of the peace in Bell County, Garland Potvin, said that a preliminary autopsy report shows the soldier died of a gunshot wound to the head. Killeen police spokeswoman Carroll Smith says detectives are
continuing to investigate but have no suspects.
