FROM THE CHEROKEE COUNTY SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT:
On Tuesday, December 7th, 2010, investigators with the Cherokee County Sheriffs Department secured two arrests warrants in connection with the December 4th shooting on CR 3303 of David Thomason,73, of Jacksonville.
Through the course of the investigation, investigators have identified two hispanic male suspects, Ruben Rincon, 22, and Hugo Rincon, 19, both of Jacksonville.
Investigators also located and seized the vehicle suspected in the shooting at a residence outside of Jacksonville.
Late Tuesday afternoon, Sheriffs investigators prepared complaints on both subjects and presented them before Judge Brenda Dominy who issued warrants of arrest for aggravated robbery on each subject. aggravated robbery is a 1st degree felony punishable by 5 to 99 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice institutional division, and/or $10,000 fine.
On Tuesday evening, around 8:00pm, members of the Cherokee County Sheriffs Department assisted by the Jacksonville Police Department went to two separate locations in Jacksonville in an attempt to locate the two suspects but where unable to locate either suspect.
Although the suspects have been identified and warrants have been issued, the investigation continues to be ongoing.
Both suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.
A $500 reward is being offered by the Cherokee County Crime Stoppers on each of the suspects and both have been entered into the State and National Computer Data Bank.
