TYLER - A joint investigation nabs three people who police say are responsible for a large identity theft scam here in East Texas. But one suspect is still on the loose.
"by all definitions this is identity theft..."
From March to August, police say Nathan Paul Michael, Christopher Scott Michael, Elizabeth Anne Pickrell and Corey Lee Davis were conducting one of the largest credit card scams of the year.
Police say they were stealing people's credit card information with an electronic device and were then using it to buy cash gift cards at local retailers.
When police served an August 18th search warrant, they found counterfeit card-making equipment, hundreds of fraudulent credit and cash value cards... along with illegal drugs.
Police say they're still looking for Nathan Paul Michael.
