SMITH COUNTY - Officials with the SPCA of East Texas are asking the public for help in the adoption of over 40 horses, with some of the mares pregnant.
The horses were seized yesterday from a property near Lindale. They are currently being held at the East Texas State Fair livestock facilities.
Officials say it will be roughly 4 to 6 weeks before the animals are up to health standards and ready for release.
