With Christmas only a couple of days away a lot of people are hitting the malls.
Something you probably won't find too surprising: Most of those people are men and most of them think they've got plenty of time to meet that big holiday deadline.
"When our store becomes about 90 percent men, we know that the holidays and Christmas have begun," says jewelry store owner John Green. "They look at the case, they go 'I like it. Can you gift wrap it?'"
According to the national retail federation 42 percent of women started their holiday shopping before Halloween.
On the other hand, 21.4 percent of men wait until December 9th.
One study shows that as of last sunday, 76 percent of women were done with their shopping, and men weren't far behind at 71 percent.
One more difference between men and women and their holiday shopping: On average men are going to drop $20 more on gifts than the ladies.
