JUNEAU, Alaska - "Joe Miller says he won't stand in the way of Senator Lisa Murkowski's certification as the winner of Alaska's Senate race," the Associated Press reports. However, Miller is continuing his court challenge to the vote count.
Miller's decision follows a state Supreme Court ruling upholding the results of the election showing Murkowski leading Miller by thousands of votes.
Over the weekend, Miller said the integrity of the election process is vital. But he said he also doesn't want to prevent the state from having full representation when the new Congress is sworn in next month.
He faces a deadline this morning to plead his case with U.S. District Judge Ralph Beistline.
