After spending sometime home during the holidays, there was no way you could miss all the bowl games.
I mean all the bowl games.
And everyone kept talking about the big national championship a week from tonight- Oregon vs Auburn.
Ok. I don't mean to disrespect anyone. If those are your schools...Great. But are those the best schools in the nation?
Are they really? Its time for a real playoff system.
Purist wring hands and say a playoff system would put the boys out of class too long and it would threaten academics.
Really?I mean...C'mon. The idiot president of Ohio State said a while back they don't play the Little Sisters of the Poor.
Well, last I heard that sisters won the Rose bowl a few days ago. Outplayed and gutted it out over a bunch of cocky Midwesterners who thought TCU would fold like a $2 suitcase.
The BCS computer system is no good. The only folks who like it are the BCS computer system inventors.
Years ago the east coast sports writers gave us the champion through their learned vote. That was a joke half the time.
A playoff system works for division 2 teams. That's why I think some of the schools don't like it because they think its beneath them.
Also, a playoff system would be the only true way to see who is champion.
