Vehicle Crashes into House
On November 24th, at approximately 2:53 a.m., Tyler Police responded to the 2400 block of Pinkerton Drive on a report that a passenger car had crashed into a residence.
Officers arrived to find a 20 year old female trapped in a Saturn passenger car which was inside the house. The vehicle had traveled through an unoccupied bedroom. The resident was the only person inside at the time of impact. She reported no injuries.
The driver was extracted from the vehicle by EMS and Fire Department first responders. She was transported to East Texas Medical Center, by ambulance. Her injuries are not life threatening.
It is believed that the driver fell asleep just prior to the accident. Driver impairment is not believed to have been a factor in the crash.
