MARSHALL, Texas – A 49-year-old Gilmer man is sentenced to federal prison for child pornography violations.
In August, Terry Don Briant pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography. This week he was sentenced to 97 months in federal prison.
According to information presented in court, on May 19, 2010, investigators executed a search warrant at Briant’s home for suspected child pornography and seized several digital cameras and computers. A forensic exam of a laptop was found to contain about 86 videos and 17 pictures of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Some of the material depicted children younger than 12 engaged in sadistic or masochistic conduct.
