4:28 P.M. UPDATE: Roads are now re-opened and traffic is resumed on Highway 69.
Smith County Fire Marshals say Texas Department of Transportation crews are still on the scene repairing the line.
They say the line was cut by a City of Tyler backhoe.
3:45 P.M. UPDATE: Lindale Fire Officials say the gas has now been cut off. They are just waiting for official confirmation to open roads back up.
LINDALE - Texas Department of Public Safety Spokesman Larry Krantz says the cut gas line on Highway 69 has prompted an indefinite lane closure.
In the meantime, Krantz says if drivers want to go north to Lindale, or to Interstate 20, they can take Highway 110 North to FM 849 at Hideaway.
