TYLER-New warnings on toys, they may be on your child's wish list, but it could be one another list. That's a list of unsafe toys.
There are a lot of toys on the shelf at the Goodwill store in Tyler, but not as many as there used to be.
The Federal Consumer Product Safety Commission has targeted toys that are unsafe because of noise, lead and choking hazards.
So far the commission has recalled more than five million toys.
Now the report condemns certain new toys, but what if you sell used toys?
Goodwill stores everywhere have changed their sales practices drastically.
"We've just walked away from the category all together to be honest with you, and it's the safest thing to do," Rick Hunter of Goodwill said.
Goodwill said its impossible for a store like this to keep up with warnings and recalls, so with a warning sign in store, they are simply getting out of the toy biz. Today at Goodwill you'll find basketballs, some educations toys, dolls and that's about it.
