TYLER - In anticipation of a cold blast this week, local non-profits are collecting blankets and heat help for people in need.
Representatives from People Attempting to Help, or PATH, say they don't have any blankets right now, leaving people at risk in upcoming temperatures.
PATH officials say you can donate money toward helping people with their utility bills.
New blanket donations can be taken to the PATH office at 402 W. Front St. in Tyler. Donation hours are 8:30 am-4:30 pm.
Monetary donations can be designated for blankets or heat assistance. Those can be mailed to PATH's Front Street address or submitted online [1].
