AS REPORTED IN THE NACOGDOCHES DAILY SENTINEL:
About 1,200 Nacogdoches County residents remained without power Tuesday afternoon, spurring the opening of a warming shelter, officials said.
The City of Nacogodches Recreation Center will open at 5 p.m. for anyone who remains without electricity or who needs a place to stay overnight.
County Judge Joe English expressed concern for the residents without electricity Tuesday afternoon. As a result, the Nacogdoches Recreation Center will be opened as a "warming shelter" for those who need it.
