"This is the scariest, most emotional thing I've ever been through."
In October of last year, our friend and main anchor Jennifer Kielman was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer.
She detected the cancer with a self-breast exam, "I found in my left breast a little, tiny, rock-like thing."
It's the only way the cancer would have been detected in a woman her age, since mammograms start at a later age.
"At that moment I knew that my life was going to change forever," she says.
Since then, Jen's gone through surgery to remove the cancer and is in the middle of chemotherapy. It's the experience of eight percent of women in this country.
Jen shared her days of treatment with us. She explains, in her own words, what the experience has meant in her life.
