Tornado touches down in Longview

***UPDATE*** About 1,300 residents are without power in Gregg and Harrison County. ******* LONGVIEW — Multiple reports have been received of a tornado touching down on the eastern side of Longview. The National Weather service has confirmed a tornado and it is moving northeast at 30 mph. The tornado touched down around 4:30 p.m. The Longview Police Department reports trees and power lines down in the east Longview Heights area. No injuries have been reported. They urge citizens to avoid the area. Those near Mulberry Springs and Harleton should take cover immediately.
