District hopes to build new middle school, renovate high school
San Augustine — The Daily Sentinel is reporrting San Augustine taxpayers will see a school bond proposal on their May ballot.
San Augustine ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to call a bond election May 14th.
Bonds will be used in constructing a new middle-school campus and extensive renovation on the high school and elementary campuses.
Rennovations will include; new roofs, an energy-efficient electrical system, flooring and renovation of the field house and band hall.
The $9 million program will call for an increase in the tax rate not to exceed $1.27, the board decided.
