SAN ANTONIO — Testimony has resumed in the trial of a dethroned Texas beauty queen suing to reclaim her crown in time for a shot at becoming Miss America.
Domonique Ramirez could testify Friday. The 17-year-old is suing
organizers of the Miss San Antonio pageant, claiming she was
unfairly booted in January over allegations of missed events and
weight gain.
The trial began with pageant president Linda Woods telling
jurors that Ramirez gained so much weight that airbrushing couldn't
fix photos of her in a bikini.
But Woods says it was irresponsibility that cost the size-2 teen her title.
Ramirez has denied that she was chronically late for events or
gained weight.
Miss Texas is crowned in July. The winner advances to the Miss
America pageant.
