TYLER — East Texans from all over were flocking to the Tyler State Park today to enjoy the beautiful weather.
An added bonus was the white Dogwood Trees in full bloom.
The park is showcasing their Dogwood driving or walking trail all around the park called "Dogwood Days."
A park ranger this morning told us the seasonal petals will only last a few more weeks before they all blow off.
East Texan Beverly Flanary perhaps said it best.
She says we need to enjoy nature while it lasts.
The Dogwood has a special meaning to her.
"It's always been one of our favorite trees and I like the story - how the blossom stands for the crucifixion with each of the petals representing the nail-scarred hands and so forth so its just a special tree," Flanary said.
