but ground pollen will spread quickly the next few days
TYLER — Severe thunderstorms hit parts of East Texas early Monday morning, giving allergy sufferers a slight break by washing a lot of the pollen out of the trees.
But the rain didn't last long enough, to make a permanent impact on East Texas pollen levels or the drought.
In areas where there's a lot of trees, like here in Tyler, heavy rainfalls like the one this morning can temorarily relieve pollen in the air; however grass pollen begins to spread.
