Deputies serving arrest warrant exchange gunfire late Wednesday
Houston — The Houston Chronicle is reporting; Harris County sheriff's deputies serving an arrest warrant exchanged gunfire late Wednesday with residents at a home in southeast Houston, authorities said.
No injuries from the gunfire were reported, officials said. The deputies surrounded the home in the 9900 block of Easthaven about 9:30 p.m. and spotted an AK-47 style rifle through a window.
One deputy knocked on a door and said they had an arrest warrant. A woman inside the house said she was armed and prepared to fire at them, Harris County Sheriff's Department officials said.
