TROUP — The city of Troup has two choices on their election ballot for off-premise consumption of alcohol. One group called the "Concerned Citizens of Troup" put up a sign on Highway 110 that reads: "Do you want Troup to have topless bars? Adult movie theatres? Prostitution? Alcohol-related accidents?"
The group says if alcohol is brought into the city, these businesses could come with it. Another group called "Troup Citizens for Progress" says that couldn't be further from the truth.
Last year, the same two propositions were on the Troup ballot, and both failed by a slim margin.
