LUFKIN - When Angelina County officials swarmed the business "Facility Works" early Tuesday morning, they expected to find evidence of a meth lab, they just didn't expect to find so much.
"Found an extremely large methamphetamine lab probably one of the largest methamphetamine labs we have found."
Authorities say the man they were looking for 47-year-old Donald Lee Brooks was nowhere to be found but, evidence of what he had been up to was everywhere
"He's a cook that cooked once or twice a month and cooked around a 100 grams at a time."
100-grams authorities say has a street value of about 10-thousand dollars and, this wasn't his first time.
"Donald had been cooking for quite some time. He's been previously arrested on manufacturing charges in the past."
Authorities continued their hunt for Brooks. Just a few hours after the raid, authorities finally caught up with Brooks after a routine traffic stop. They found meth in his car made the arrest and transferred him to Angelina County Jail. A neighbor next door says he has three children living in his house, and he's still trying to cope with shock of it all.
"It's kind of hard, a hard pill to swallow cause you wouldn't think people in this area would do things like that if kids are around."
