DALLAS — Police say a 57-year-old woman in a motorized wheelchair died in a hit-and-run accident when a vehicle struck her while she was crossing a Dallas street.
Police say they were searching for the driver after the incident around 3 a.m. Thursday. Authorities aren't releasing the victim's name pending notification of kin.
In a news release, police said the woman was thrown 10 feet by the impact, hit her head on the curb and died at the scene from blunt force trauma.
