TYLER — Usually, when I get really angry, cooling off for 24 hours fixes it.
Not this time.
Did you see the story about the U.S. servicemen coming home from Afghanistan?
With all this new airlines mumbo- jumbo and all the fees they are tacking on right now to make a fortune, .they really stuck it to our warriors on the way back home.
When it was said and done, Delta Airlines charged a group of servicemen $2800 for extra bags.
If they would have packed three bags- no charge.
But the U.S. Army makes them pack 4. So, after the little green eye-shade wearing accountant was done figuring, almost $3,000 in fees.
Did you know that United States Airlines made more than $4 billion last year in just baggage fees?
More than 4 billion.
If you fly at all, you know that you get one carry-on, and then your first bag is $25, then higher after that.
Delta Airlines says they didn't know about the Army order of 4 bags. Thanks to outraged people---they know know-- and they've made allowances in the future.
They didn't say if they will reimburse the 14 soldiers their $2800.
If you ask me, I think all U.S. troops should fly for free and charge me another dollar for my bag.
I'll pay more for them because they are paying more for me.
That's my point of view, what's yours?
